I saw this Olympic Interior Latex White Primer on clearance for $4.76 (Reg $16.98) plus 10% off with mover's coupon from USPS. Lowe's stock number 39906. As usual with Lowe's clearance it is YMMV. Features:

I was looking for primer and paint for a third of my house I just got that I just cleaned up, ripped out the kitchen, bathroom, made a walk-in closet of a small 4th bedroom, and combined a den and extra area used for laundry and other stuff into one big den. Needed lots of paint and primer for the 16 sheets of fresh drywall and mud. I got all 8 cans they had. I used 2 cans today on the first and second coat in the kitchen, hall, and closet. It had very little smell compared to what I was used to with other paints and primers (a little trick I heard from a family member and will try is putting a little vanilla extract in the can and mix it which should take most if not all the odor away). I see some low reviews on the Lowe's site, but I didn't have any problems. I was NOT using it too sparingly and it covered the area very well, even using low-end rollers. So I don't know why the reviews are so bad. At this price, I am saving at least $100 on paint and primer. I plan on doing a 3rd coat on the ceiling in the kitchen and keeping it the primer white since it looked pretty good with the second coat. The closet doesn't need anything fancy either since it will be mostly covered up by clothes and shoes. I just can't believe paint is $20-$35 a gallon now.
