Industrial Bank , a local DC area bank offers free checking with 2.5 % APY on up to 15K. I have been using them for the past few years and can't complain about the bonuses (so much that I kept them after I moved across country).
The requirements you have to meet monthly with your debit card are :
-Have at least 12 debit card purchases post and settle to your Kasasa Cash account
-Be enrolled and log into online banking (Who isn't?)
-Be enrolled and agree to receive e-statements to a submitted valid email account (Save the trees)
