Alaska Airlines have round trip airfares travelling to and from Los Angeles (LAX) and Las Vegas (LAS) for $40, nonstop! Or one-way for $20. No round trip required if you're looking to move out of California.
Unfortunately, when in Vegas, the hotels & resort will gouge you on their BS resort fees so shop around and maybe not stay on the strip. Same with some of the bigger name hotels in So Cal.
