This is made by the company that made the highly rated ThermaPen instant read thermometer.
The DOT is a very simple thermometer alarm that beeps when a preset temperature has been reached. It's perfect for long and slow cooks in an oven or smoker.
It's a few more dollars more than similar products from Amazon, but it's a much more well known brand with great USA based customer service and warranty behind it.
