The Zagat Wine deal has happened before. Basically, $69 + $20 shipping for either 15 Reds, 15 Whites or 15 Mixed. You also get four rather basic looking wine glasses "crafted by their master glassblower...)

Tabasco has ruined my career as a wine connoisseur but popping open a bottle for company or after the kids go to bed is therapeutic. That said, if anyone knows how I can get more Didier Dagueneau Pouilly-Fume for a good price...

Anyway, what sweetens the pot this time is that United is running a 3x miles bones for clicking through their mileageplus shopping portal. So, if you're a United / Chase cardholder you get 18 miles / $ and 12 miles / $ if you don't have a united card.

The value of the miles isn't really a debate I want to get into right now, but if you fly internationally, you should be able to get 3-4 cents / mile (saver, 2 open jaws, stopover). If you mostly fly domestic / Hawaii, then probably 2.2 cents /mile (Mileage saver fares, Use Open Jaw / stopover).

Anyway, you'll get about 1080 - 1620 FF miles that are probably worth about $15-$30 conservatively. If you're using your FidAmex or United Miles CC or whatever bonus card on top, the Mileageplus shopping portal will stack that.

So, net-net, the wine is less than $5 / bottle shipped. No vouching for quality but see Tabasco comment above.
