If you have an old Amazon Kindle and never use it, you can send it back to Amazon to get some credit.

1. Find your old Kindle model on the Amazon Kindle Trade-In webpage.
   • If your old Kindle is working, you can get anywhere from $20 to $50 for your trade-in.
   • If your old Kindle is not working, you can get about $5 for it.
2. Amazon will send you a free shipping label. All you need to do is box your old Kindle, and drop off at a UPS location.
3. Amazon will send you the Kindle trade-in credit plus $20 credit toward a new Kindle.

For example, if you have a 3-year-old Kindle (one without a touch-screen) that still works fine, you can get about $33 trade-in credit plus $20 credit toward a new Kindle. The newest (touchscreen model) Kindle sells for $80, so after trade-in and bonus credit, it would cost about $27 to upgrade.

If your old Kindle is broken, you can get about $5 Amazon credit plus the $20 credit toward a new Kindle. This means you can get a new, working Kindle for about $55 when trading-in your broken one.
