Thermapen is the benchmark, but at a fraction of the price, these are good for backup, and the grilling community has generally good things to say

Nice that this is also rechargeable (my other backup had a button battery that just went out). Also a few bucks cheaper than CCC's lowest of $15.99 back in November 2019
