I really cannot stress how well built this light is -- for sure the pictures do not show it! This Pro Series Headlight System was designed for the most demanding environments like industrial and construction site applications. This headlight is rugged and built really, really well. It features a TIR optic and has a beam distance of 100 meters, a 180 degree swivel, and three levels of brightness. It has an IPX4 water resistant rating. It also has a built in Safety Lock/Off feature prevents the light from turning on while stored. It has a quick release clip makes taking the light on and off the strap easy (but there is a way to disable that if you want it permanently attached). When removed, strong magnets on the back of the light can be used to attach the headlight to magnetic surfaces and you still have the 180-deg swivel. The inside of the strap has some of the rubber/elastic exposed so it will grip a hardhat. It also does not have the typical push-button control but rather a large (glove-friendly) knob that rotates. The TIR optic has an additional clear protective lens over it that can be removed (and left off). It runs on two AA batteries which are included. Dorcy is a US company, and this light includes a Lifetime Warranty on any manufacturing defect.
