This item is a re-branded HikVision, and you can flash the HikVision firmware (I just did).

I have three of them installed to my house and I think it is the best choice for what I need -- a low-cost security system. I hang them under my 2-story building and use high-endurance card to record H265 video, which can be viewed in your PC and cell-phone. So you don't really need a NVR or subscription service. and if you hang the camera high like what I did, i don't think the break-in will have time to get a ladder to access the sd card.
